What is Ritec Clearshield Easy Clean Coating?
Clearshield "Easy Clean" coating is recommended for all of our shower and wet room enclosures and from January 2010 will be applied to all shower doors and enclosures.
We all know that cleaning glass surfaces, such as windows and shower enclosures, takes time and effort. Bird droppings, silicone run-off and limescale are particularly difficult, if not impossible to remove. And even then, it doesn't take long for glass to quickly look dirty again.
Thankfully, there is a simple answer with the award-winning ClearShieldTM surface technology. Working like 'non-stick' cookware, glass protected with ClearShield is always easier to clean, stays cleaner for longer and resists staining and discolouration.
ClearShield is available for any glass, inside or outside. It is ideal for windows, conservatories, shower enclosures, mirrors and sandblasted glass. ClearShield has worldwide track records from over 25 years, including the atrium of Lloyd’s of London building, showers in the Sanderson hotel and glass on P&O and Princess Cruises cruise liners.
ClearShield offers a range of benefits for different types of glass

What styles of glass doors are available
We hold in stock a number of options for glass doors and partitions. The most popular style of glass door is the wall mounted door with a sprung hinge which allows opening of 180 degrees, i.e 90 degree either side of the central point. They are self centering and are combined with a sleek 450mm double sided T Bar Handle. We also stock an indicator lock for WC's and bathrooms. The other option is a Lever Latch style door with butt hinges. With this style you can simply remove an old wooden door and hang a glass one into the timber rebate. The handles are available with a key lock for studies/office's etc.
The more commercial style pivot door is available up to 1200mm width and incorporates either a floor or transom closer. We stock 3 styles of sliding glass doors including the economical SVA system, a top hung track with a roller and clamp hidden behind a fascia pelmet. The TRJ system, a slimline top track with sss finish fixings, and the SVI system, a high grade visable stainless steel syst. We also now offer the Megla folding glass partitioning system.

How do I measure for my Frameless Enclosure?
We offer full specification on all frameless glass doors, shower enclosures and partitions and as such make all the tolerances for you so that there is less chance of a mistake. We ask very simply that you give us the overall tight width dimension after all tiling etc has been completed, and the finished floor to ceiling height i.e. after the flooring has been laid. We have had experience of mistakes with customers guessing the floor tile height etc, so we do not recommend measuring until the opening has been completed. If the area is out of square or a strange shape this does not normally cause us a problem, but we would suggest you contact us so that we can talk through the best way to measure.

Is it easy to fit the frameless glass products?
Fitting most of our frameless glass products does not necessarily mean you will have to employ a specialist fitter, most contractors should be able to carry out these installations and many of our customers fit themselves. We have a simple user friendly guide to fitting and would recommend that you read this before you start. If you would like a copy before you order to see how easy it is then please contact us. We have experienced staff that undergo training on all of our products who can also easily talk you through an installation over the phone.
